Stephanie Janvier is an associate with Avery | Kill, LLC. Stephanie’s practice focuses on divorce and family law. This includes the negotiation of marital settlement agreements and parenting agreements, financial disputes, property division, child support, maintenance, and other family-related issues. Stephanie's experience is coupled with valuing the importance of communication and providing individualized attention to her clients, especially when they are unfamiliar with the litigation or settlement process.
Stephanie obtained her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School and a Bachelor of the Arts from Saint Louis University. She is also a proud alumnus of St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Haitian American Lawyers Association. During law school, Stephanie was on the Dean’s List and was the recipient of the Alvin H. Baum Family Fund fellowship, a grant awarded to law students to work with the Chicago Legal Clinic's Family Law division. Prior to joining Avery | Kill, LLC, Stephanie served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Nancy Katz of the Circuit Court in Cook County, gaining valuable experience in legal research, writing, and navigating the workings of the family law judicial system. She has exclusively interned and practiced in areas pertaining to the litigation of family law, giving her great insight into the field. It is with this insight that she is able to successfully guide A| K clients.
